First COO for ACGA

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ms. Padma Venkat as our first Chief Operating Officer.

Padma will manage the finance and operations of ACGA and assist in business development, including membership marketing and sponsorships. She will coordinate new member working groups, provide input to strategic planning, work closely with ACGA members, and handle the management of all ACGA events and conferences. Padma will also lead a streamlining of ACGA’s financial and accounting processes, including the annual audit.

Padma is a Chartered Accountant from India and has more than 20+ years of experience in the region’s finance industry, having worked in India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Hong Kong. She headed the non-resident Indian portfolio business for Citibank while in Indonesia. More recently, she was a Director of Capital Markets Policy for the CFA Institute in Hong Kong where she was passionately involved in corporate governance matters.
