ACGA Hosts Joint Focus Group with AFRC

On 26 February, ACGA and the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council (AFRC) jointly hosted a hybrid focus group discussion as part of the AFRC’s ongoing public consultation on its proposed sustainability assurance framework for Hong Kong. Sivananth Ramachandra Iyer, Director of Policy, Registration and Oversight at AFRC, provided an overview of the framework’s key proposals, followed by a discussion with ACGA investor members and ACGA Vice Chair Lau Ka-Shi. ACGA will be submitting a response to the AFRC’s consultation ahead of the 30 March 2026 deadline
