The CFA Institute’s report Unlocking AGMs: From Votes to Voices in Asia-Pacific, published on 12 March, included an interview with Amar, in which he shared his views on the key barriers to effective AGMs across Asia and the reform measures needed to make them more meaningful – from staggering AGM dates and mandatory director attendance to strong investor stewardship and pass-through voting.
