ACGA response to CSRC consultation on board secretary rules

On 30 January 2026, ACGA submitted a response to the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) consultation on the draft “Regulatory Rules for Board Secretaries of Listed Companies”. The draft Rules elevate the role of the board secretary as a key enabler of effective board functioning and oversight, positioning it at the nexus of communication between companies and their stakeholders. ACGA recommends enhancing the board secretary’s role in bridging investor-director dialogue and strengthening the ongoing training requirements.
