ICGN Annual Conference 2017

The 2017 ICGN Annual Conference takes place in Kuala Lumpur over July 11-13. We are delighted to announce that ACGA is one of the partners of this year's event.

Jamie Allen, ACGA Secretary General, will moderate a plenary panel discussion on the topic, "Regional Round-up: Unique characteristics in Asian markets" on the morning of Wednesday, July 12. Speakers include Shyam Agrawal, President, ICSI, India; Mike Cho, Professor, Korea University Business School & President, Korea Corporate Governance Services, Korea; Daisuke Hamaguchi, Chief Investment Officer, Pension Fund Association, Japan; and Waratchya Srimachand, Senior Assistant Secretary-General, Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand.

On the same day, Ben McCarron, a Specialist Consultant for ACGA, will take part in a panel with David Sheasby, Head of Stewardship, Martin Currie Investment Management, UK; and Carol Hansell, Partner, Hansell LLP. The session will discuss "Emerging markets and the importance of stewardship".
