ACGA Report on Board diversity at the top 100 in Hong Kong -

ACGA gave a preview of our research into board diversity at the top 100 issuers in Hong Kong at our Annual Conference in November.

We are now pleased to release the full report, “Old school mentality in the new economy”, which highlights the low rate of female directorships at leading tech firms and in particular, weighted voting right (WVR) stocks. But we are encouraged by our finding that appointing a woman to chair the nomination committee leads to a greater ratio of females on the board. The statistics on women in the C-Suite and senior management also suggest a pipeline of talent ready to usurp male dominance on boards. We live in hope!
