Job Vacancy: China Research Director

We are looking for an experienced professional to be our China Research Director. This role is full-time and based in Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities include:

• Researching corporate governance and ESG issues in China 
• Writing regular articles and blogs for ACGA members and the general public
• Leading ACGA’s research on China in our biennial "CG Watch" survey
• Expanding our member network in China and managing our social media account
• Supporting ACGA advocacy initiatives in Asia, especially China
• Assisting ACGA members on regulatory and company engagements 
• Helping to organise investor delegations, annual conference and other events

Key professional and personal requirements:

• A strong understanding of China’s economy, financial markets and legal system
• A deep interest in corporate governance 
• A proven track record of producing CG/ESG research and analysis 
• Strong English writing and communication skills, fluency in Mandarin is a must
• Public speaking experience is an advantage
• Organised, self-reliant, motivated, a positive thinker, and a good team player
• An ability to adapt to working in a non-profit organisation

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience. We also offer competitive benefits, including a discretionary bonus scheme, medical, and annual leave.
