Jamie Allen, Secretary General, was invited to speak in a session –  “Are Asian Boards Prepared for Climate Change?” hosted by The Executive Forum (TEF) in Hong Kong on 4 October 2019. TEF is a private forum for the CEOs of major multinational and local Hong Kong companies.

Topics included:

• To what extent do boards discuss material sustainability risks and climate change? 

• Are boards equipped with the skills and information to do so? 

• Which companies are leading in their reporting of the financial impact of climate change on their business? 

• Are financial regulators in the region helping or hindering listed companies think through these challenges?

• The role for both institutional investors and auditors.
