On January 31, 2012, ACGA submitted a response to the Ministry of Justice's "Interim Proposal Concerning Revision of Companies Act". ACGA limited its comments to the proposals to strengthen the independence of "outside directors" and obligate public and listed companies to appoint such directors. A Japanese translation of the submission was also provided to the MOJ.
