On October 10, 2013, ACGA spoke at an event organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers on the general topic of CG evolution in Asia and, more specifically, on a new set of bank governance guidelines published by the China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) in July 2013. A comparison with governance guidelines published by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) in 2012 shows how the CBRC version is considerably more prescriptive than the Hong Kong guidelines, which are more principles-based.
