ACGA 15th Anniversary Conference
ACGA will hold its annual conference this year, the "Asian Business Dialogue on Corporate Governance 2014", in Hong Kong at the Hyatt Regency, Sha Tin over November 4-5, 2014. As this year marks our 15th Anniversary, we are planning an expanded event with greater choice of workshops and some additional member-only meetings. A full outline of the event, with confirmed speakers and registration form, will be added to our website shortly.

ACGA Secretariat News
The ACGA Secretariat has undergone some personnel changes and expansion in recent months. For further details and updated bios of full-time and part-time staff members, regular contributors and specialist consultants, please see our Secretariat page.
Letter to Korean Corporates
For a copy of a letter that ACGA and our members sent to large Korean listed companies in March on the issue of unaudited annual accounts, see the story under "ACGA News". Due to a quirk of Korean company law, and tight deadlines for holding AGMs, foreign institutional investors are forced to vote on unaudited financials before annual meetings.
ACGA Survey on Alibaba and Non-standard Shareholding Structures (NSSS)
ACGA held a press conference on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 to release the results of our new "Survey on Alibaba and Non-Standard Shareholding Structures in Hong Kong". The survey found strong support among global institutional investors for Hong Kong's "one share, one vote" standard and opposition to any rule changes to cater for unusual shareholding structures and so-called innovative companies. Investors also said they would discount the Hong Kong market and individual companies if such structures became common.
For a copy of the full survey and press releases in English and Chinese, see the story under "ACGA News".
