AIDG conference call, June 2, 2009
On June 2, ACGA held its second Investor Discussion Group (AIDG) conference call of 2009 for its members in Asia and Europe, while a follow-up call for its North American members was held the following morning. ACGA Member Events (May 2009)
On May 7 and 26, 2009, we held our Spring Members' Briefings in Hong Kong and Singapore, respectively. Our first presentation in Hong Kong was by Sharmila Gopinath, ACGA Research Director, on corporate governance in India, while the second presentation by Jamie Allen, ACGA Secretary General, focussed on corporate governance reforms in Japan and Taiwan. In Singapore, however, the second presentation by Jamie Allen focussed on corporate governance reforms in Japan and Malaysia. Copies of the presentations are now available to ACGA members in our Premium Content section.

PSE Meetings, April 2009
On April 2, ACGA organised a series of meetings for our members with The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE). ACGA Investor Delegation, March 9-11, 2009
Over March 9-11, ACGA led an investor delegation to Tokyo to meet with government officials, regulators, key business associations and major investors. We prepared a document titled "Corporate Governance in Japan: Issues for Long-Term Investors" as the basis for discussion at our meetings.
ACGA member, Douglas Pearce, CEO/CIO, bcIMC, Canada, made a presentation on the subject of "The Long Term Shareholder" at a luncheon roundtable with the Keidanren on March 11. Both documents are available to all users in the Speeches section of our website (under ACGA Archive).
