ACGA 10th Annual Conference, Taipei, Nov 2010
ACGA will hold its 10th Annual Conference, the "Asian Business Dialogue on Corporate Governance 2010", at the Grand Formosa Taiwan on Wednesday, November 3, 2010. Our conference brings together a group of high-level speakers and delegates from around Asia and other parts of the world for thought-provoking discussions on practical issues of corporate governance for business in Asia.

Keynote Speakers

CLSA Quant Report: "Nice Guys Finish Ahead"
In June, CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets published a report on the impact of corporate governance on a company's future stock returns. They discovered that good CG does indeed pay for shareholders. The full report is available to the public in the Member Research section of our website.

ACGA India White Paper
On January 19, 2010, ACGA launched a new policy document on India. Titled the "ACGA White Paper on Corporate Governance in India", the paper makes a series of recommendations for reform in five key areas: shareholder meetings and voting; related-party transactions; preferential warrants; corporate disclosure; and the auditing profession. ACGA believes these reforms are necessary to strengthen the long-term competitiveness of India's capital markets and the accountability of its listed companies. ACGA 9th Annual Conference, Beijing, Nov 2009
ACGA held its 9th Annual Conference, the "Asian Business Dialogue on Corporate Governance 2009", at the St Regis Beijing over November 11-12, 2009. The conference brought together a group of more than 180 speakers and delegates from around Asia and other parts of the world for thought-provoking discussions on practical issues of corporate governance for business in Asia.

ACGA Member Event, Hong Kong
On October 8 & 9, 2009, we held our spring members' briefing in Singapore and Hong Kong. Our presentation by Jamie Allen, ACGA Secretary General, was an overview of the main conclusions and recommendations from a forthcoming "China Board Manual" that ACGA has been working on.
